- Requirement 1 : Make sure the browser extension is installed (on Edge, Firefox or Chrome).
- Requirement 2 : Make sure you are logged into LockSelf
- Requirement 3 : Make sure the password has been saved in LockPass
When you arrive on a login page of a website, LockSelf shields will be automatically positioned on the login and password fields.
By clicking on a shield, you will be able to select the desired login and the login and password fields will be automatically filled in.
🚨In case the shields do not appear in the right fields or not at all, you can check this article Plugin features |
- Step 1 : On the login form web page, click on one of the shields
- Step 2 : On the pop-up window that appears, click on the desired login.
🚨 If multiple logins are shown, it means that several passwords have been stored in LockPass for this website. |
The logins and password are then automatically filled in : you just need to log in to the website.
🚨When you log in using auto-complete logins and passwords, the auto-complete pop-up will not appear, even if you manually change fields after auto-complete. |
If, when you saved your password on LockPass, you filled in any of the information required for login in the Description field or the optional fields, you will not be able to use the auto-complete feature for those items.
To be able to fill in other fields on the login form (other than logins and passwords) without having to return to the LockPass interface, click on the extension and click on « Website's Passwords ». For the desired login, click on and use the shortcut
to copy the item you need, so you can paste it into the corresponding field on the login form.
