All users can create transfers and use the protection options.
When you create a new transfer, you can choose between 2 protection options:
These two different options allow you to control how your recipients will access the files you have transferred.
In the first case, your recipients will have to fill in the password chose by you when you created the transfer.
In the second case, your recipients will have to authenticate themselves with an access code based on their email address. Only the recipients chose at the time you sent the transfer will be able to download the files.
Protect your transfer by password
Adding a password to your transfer will ensure a strong and double-factor protection : indeed, you will have the possibility to send the password directly by SMS to your recipients.
You will then ensure a maximum security on your sending thanks to :
- A first authentication with the link received by email
- A second step thanks to the password sent by SMS

Protect your transfer by email thanks to an access code
By choosing the email protection option, your recipients will have to authenticate their email address and will receive an access code that will be sent to them in a second email.
This authentication method allows you to control precisely which recipients will be able to download your documents.
🗒️ Use case: Sending documents with a need to control the downloads on the recipient side (only the recipients specified will be able to download the documents). This sending mode is to be preferred in order to know in real time which recipients have retrieved your documents at a given moment.
