Export passwords

  • Step 1: In Chrome, click on "Passwords and autocomplete", then "Google Password Manager":

Import from browser

  • Step 1: In the Surface menu, click on "Settings", then "Personal Import":

  • Step 2: Click on the browser from which your password export originated:

  • Step 3: Then select the import file:

Your passwords will be imported into your Personal Area.

Importing passwords containing characters with accents

For importing passwords containing characters with accents (é,è,ù,à), encode your file in UTF-8 to ensure correct import.

Error handling

In the event of an import error, you have the option of downloading a file containing the lines that could not be imported.

  • Step 1: Click on "Correct errors":

  • Step 2: Download the error report:

The downloaded file will tell you precisely why the lines could not be imported. Example:
