Change your master password

You can change your master password in two ways: from the sign-in screen if you have forgotten it, or voluntarily from within the application.

From the sign-in screen (forgotten master password)

1. On the master password entry page, click "Forgotten master password".
2. Import your recovery key (the file downloaded when your account was activated), then click "Confirm".
3. Enter the verification code received by email.
4. Set your new master password (12 characters minimum, 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 digit, 1 special character), then confirm it.
5. Download your new recovery key and keep it in a safe place.

From the application (voluntary change)

1. Sign in to your LockSelf account.
2. Go to "Settings", then select "Change my master password".
3. Enter your old master password, then set your new master password.
4. Confirm your new master password by validating it a second time, then click "Confirm".

Good to know

• Use a strong master password to strengthen your account's security.
• LockSelf has no access to your recovery key: keep it carefully, as it is essential if you forget your master password.
