Change your security key

You can change your security key in two ways: from the sign-in screen if you have forgotten it, or voluntarily from within the application.

From the sign-in screen (forgotten key)

1. On the security key entry page, click "Forgotten security key".
2. Import your recovery key (the file downloaded when your account was activated), then click "Confirm".
3. Enter the verification code received by email.
4. Set your new security key (12 characters minimum, 1 lowercase letter, 1 uppercase letter, 1 digit), then confirm it.
5. Download your new recovery code and keep it in a safe place.

From the application (voluntary change)

1. Sign in to your LockSelf account.
2. Go to "Settings", then select "Change my security key".
3. Enter your old security key, then set your new key.
4. Confirm your new security key by validating it a second time, then click "Confirm".

Good to know

• Use a strong security key to strengthen your account's security.
• LockSelf has no access to your recovery key: keep it carefully, as it is essential if you forget your security key.
