Read on to learn more about how to create passwords for users, in case of problems with your company directory and SSO interconnection.
Only the Administrator account and Moderators can create passwords for users.

When using an SSO interconnection to access LockSelf, the user will need their usual login credentials (to log in to their Google, Microsoft, etc. session) as well as their LockSelf PIN.
If there is a problem with the directory, the SSO interconnection will not work anymore, and users will not be able to access their LockSelf account. Only the Administrator account will be able to do so, as it is the only one hosted locally.
It will be possible for the Administrator account and Moderators to create temporary passwords for the users, so that they can access their LockSelf account via the standard connection, while waiting for the problem making the SSO interconnection impossible to be solved.
Create a temporary password

Step 1 : Login to your Administrator account and go to the Management tab

Step 2 : Select the desired user, and click on « Create a password » in the right panel
- Step 3 : On the window that opens, set the temporary password that the user should use to log in, and click « Create Password ».
- You can use the password generator to create a strong password.
- Step 4 (optional) : You can set an expiration date to the password. After this date, the password, and therefore the standard login, will no longer work.

Once the password is created, the following will appear next to the user's name :
The user will therefore be able to access their LockSelf account, via the standard login, with the password set by the Administrator account and their usual PIN code.

Remove a temporary password
To remove a temporary password, select the user and click « Remove Password » in the right panel.
The user will no longer be able to use the standard login to log in.
