Displaying your category names in full
In grid view, category names that are too long are truncated and only appear in full when you hover over them with the mouse — which is not possible on mobile.
List view answers that need: it shows one category per line with its full name, with no truncation. Very long names simply wrap onto the next line.
Who can use this feature?
- All LockPass users, for the view of their categories.
- Administrators, in Management, for the view of sub-organizations.
Switching between list view and grid view in LockPass
- Open the view of your categories in LockPass.
- Click the toggle button to switch to list view.
- Click it again to go back to grid view.
Your choice is remembered: the selected view is restored automatically the next time you visit or sign in.
Switching between list view and grid view in Management
- Open Management and display your sub-organizations.
- Click “List view” to show one sub-organization per line with its full name.
- Click “Grid view” to return to the tile display.
This preference is independent of the LockPass one: each area remembers its own choice.
Collapsing and expanding sections
A chevron is available at the head of each section. Click it to collapse or expand the section; the chevron rotates to indicate the current state.
- In LockPass: the “Categories” and “Passwords” sections.
- In Management: the “Sub-organizations” and “Users” sections.
Whether each section is collapsed or expanded is also remembered and kept from one session to the next.
Good to know
- In grid view, the behavior is unchanged: long names are truncated and shown in full on hover.
- Display preferences are specific to your account.
- They are not synchronized across different devices or browsers.
- The “Select all” pill no longer shows an icon. This is a purely visual change: it works exactly as before.
