Passwords
This tab gives an overview of all shared passwords in your organization, including their strength, age, and frequency of use.
Strength of shared passwords
This section describes the strength of your shared passwords, including the proportion and number of your organization's passwords considered weak (i.e. less than 12 characters), acceptable, and strong.
By clicking on a category (weak, acceptable or strong), then on one of the passwords concerned, you'll be redirected directly to it, in order to modify and strengthen it.
You also have the option of exporting the list of weak passwords in CSV format.
🚨 Un password is considered strong when it contains at least 1 special character, 1 number, 1 capital letter and 17 characters. A password is considered medium when it contains at least 1 special character, 1 digit, 1 uppercase and 13 characters. Less than this, the password will be considered weak. A password composed of characters only in lowercase or only uppercase characters will have to be composed of at least 22 characters to be considered strong, and at least 18 characters to be considered medium. Below this, it will be considered weak. A password composed solely of lowercase and uppercase characters must be at least 18 characters long to be considered strong, and at least 15 characters long to be considered medium. Below this, it will be considered weak. |
Shared password age
This section describes the age of your passwords, including their proportion and number.
Passwords are divided into 3 sections:
- those modified or created less than 6 months ago
- those modified or created between 6 months and 1 year
- those modified or created + 1 year ago
By clicking on one of the passwords concerned, you will be directly redirected to it, in order to modify it.
Frequency of use of shared passwords
This section describes the frequency of use of your passwords, including their proportion and number, over the last 30 days.
Passwords are divided into 5 categories:
- those most frequently used (the top 5%)
- those whose usage is between average and most used
- those whose usage corresponds to the average usage of all passwords
- those whose usage is between the average and the least used
- those least used (the 5% least used)
By clicking on one of the categories, then on one of the passwords concerned, you will be redirected directly to it, if required.
Categories
This tab gives a view of the shared spaces and categories of your organization, including their compartmentalization and the password policies applied.
Compartimentation
This section shows the proportion of categories shared at (from top to bottom):
- more than 75% of the organization
- 50% to 75% of the organization
- 25% to 50% of the organization
- - from 25% of the organization
Clicking on one of the proportions (a circle), then on one of the categories concerned, will redirect you directly to it.
Password policies
This section shows categories for which strong or weak password policies have been applied, as well as categories without password policies, including their proportion and number.
The categories are divided into three: those with a strong policy, those with a weak policy, and those with no policy.
Clicking on one of the relevant categories will take you directly to it.
🚨 A strong policy requires the use of passwords with a minimum of 16 characters, with at least 1 special character, 1 uppercase and 1 number. A strong password policy consisting solely of uppercase and lowercase characters requires the use of passwords with a minimum of 18 characters. A strong password policy consisting solely of lowercase or uppercase characters requires the use of passwords with a minimum of 22 characters. An average password policy requires the use of passwords with a minimum of 13 to 15 characters, at least 1 special character, 1 uppercase and 1 number. An average password policy consisting solely of lower- and uppercase characters requires the use of passwords with a minimum of 15 to 17 characters. An average password policy composed of only lowercase or only uppercase characters dictates the use of passwords with a minimum of 18 to 21 characters. Below this, the password policy will be considered weak. |
